Final unit in the Kaiserbau near Marienplatz in Stuttgart leased

Berlin/Stuttgart, 30 November 2017 – The real estate developer and investor COPRO leased a space measuring 200 m2 in the renovated building known as “Kaiserbau” to the interdisciplinary agency for design and communications GfG / Gruppe für Gestaltung GmbH. With this new tenant, the company has now leased all available units in the building located near the landmark square Marienplatz in Southern Stuttgart.

To prepare the unit, COPRO worked with the tenant to create a new loft-like space that was in perfect harmony with client needs. This was the very first time that the space was offered as a commercial unit. “We are very pleased to welcome GfG to the Kaiserbau. The agency is the perfect addition to the diverse tenant pool, which helps unleash synergy between the individual tenants”, explained Antje Kimmich, Managing Director of AK ImmobilienServices, which leased the area to GfG / Gruppe für Gestaltungon on behalf of COPRO. GfG / Gruppe für Gestaltung GmbH will join existing tenants like the yoga school YOGA13, the pizzeria L.A. Signorina and the IT firm KI Business Performance GmbH.

Based in Bremen, the work of GfG is guided by the design principle known as “iD/2D/3D”, in which diverse teams collaborate on projects from start to finish, from the initial idea and design to execution. In the Stuttgart office, cooperation is facilitated by an “ideas workshop” with flexible furnishings and an area dedicated for workshops. “Our creative process requires a space where our ideas and creativity can flourish. The open workspace in Kaiserbau offers the ideal space for our work”, remarked Carsten Dempewolf from GfG / Gruppe für Gestaltung GmbH.

Historic building with an urban flair

The Kaiserbau was built in 1911 and carefully modernised by COPRO. The building offers a contemporary-yet-historic feel for its 40 residential units and 10 commercial spaces. The first stage of construction was completed in 2015, creating a total useable area of about 6,350 square metres. “The Kaiserbau truly stands out on Marienplatz”, noted Kimmich. “With its rich variety of restaurants and shops, the Kaiserbau embodies the lively atmosphere and dynamic energy of the surrounding square.”
